I know this little guy named Paxton, he's super cute, cuddly, and all smiles! Happy 1st Birthday big guy! Sterling, his big bro, was super excited for him too! These two are so cute and I'm so thankful I got to spend this little moment with these guys! Hope you have many many more cake filled birthdays!
You guys have no idea how long we all have been waiting for this day! The entire family is so excited to finally welcome Mattie to the Dotson clan!
A few weeks ago my husband and I (along with the littlest of our crew) got to hit the road and head to Kansas City, mini vacay, to witness Mattie and Luke get sealed in the Kansas City Temple! It was such a beautiful day, just a tad windy ;) ! I'm so thankful I was able to witness their sealing, it was so fun sitting in the sealing room with all the couples and watching their love grow for each other! We started with a few candid moments to preserve the day, moved on to a quick run through of family photos, and wrapped it up with couple portraits! We had a quick dinner at Arby's and headed home to start over the next day with their ring ceremony and reception! More on that later! ;)

I'm so excited for you Mattie and Luke! Congratulations!
I'm so excited Mattie is becoming part of our family officially! These two have been dating for years so we are all so happy for them and glad this day has finally come! We shot Luke and Mattie's engagements in our hometown, Huntsville, Arkansas and couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather! I absolutely loved each of her outfits, Mattie has such a unique style and she's not afraid to be a little different! Congratulations! I can't wait for the big day!
I don't get to shoot too many bridals but I really enjoy the opportunity when allowed. It's a great trial run for the bride but it's also a great trial run for me, I get to see the style of the dress and have poses in mind for the wedding day before I even arrive. Another perk is I usually get to meet the mother of the bride, sisters, and even bridesmaids if I'm lucky! When I have the opportunity to meet with my couples many times before the wedding that results in the best photos as compared to meeting the day of the wedding. I'm able to get to know them a little better, their tastes, their style, all around that just makes my job easier and I'm able to provide them with timeless images that are more unique to their story.
We took Morgan's bridals last summer at Stone Chapel and I'm excited to share them with you! I loved the dress she chose, so classy yet still an original.
Morgan's hairstylist tagged along too and added a fun little ribbon for a couple shots. I loved changing up her look for a few! Eventually we took the ribbon out but kept the sideswept ponytail for the remainder of the shoot. Morgan had her younger sister and mother came along! Morgan's mom really wanted three generations of wedding rings captured but feared on the wedding day it would be forgotten so bringing them to the bridal session was a great idea!
If I remember correctly Rebecca and Barret's wedding day was one of the only perfect weekends in October! Rebecca got pampered with all her girls at a friend's newly built home while Barret and his guys just got ready at the church.
Groomsmen ordered pizza!
Their ceremony took place at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I love how Barret glances over at Rebecca during the ceremony, he's so excited! Best guestbook ever! Such a fun idea in place of a traditional wedding cake!
